The Wild Globalization Project (“WG”) engages “civilization” as Homo sapien’s still ongoing 300,000-year “universal drama” and presence on planet Earth. It researches multiple, interconnected, energetic “factors”: Ecology, Demographics and Culture, Technology, Economy, Governance, and Wealth. “Wild” signifies how these energies respond as “quantumly entangled” complexities which resist complete measure, predictability, or control.

WG asks if our 21st century is not at critical “turning points” – since 1970, the resurgence of global warfare, pandemics, and “great” financial crises; human numbers surging from four to eight billion and now a million a week moving into cities; global economies expanding from $4B to $100B, yet public debt to 100% of GDP; the Living Planet Index warning that vertebrate and invertebrate Nature may be in severe stress or decline? Can civilization overcome vicious cultural and political competitions and re-connect with a deeper, universal human heritage? Can Earth’s vital natural worlds and creatures be preserved and replenished?

“Economy” grows from the “free human creative-destructive value response” empowered by knowledge, willpower, and entrepreneurial passion rather than “labor,” “commodities,” or “capital.” Humans no longer merely “evolve,” but rather emerge suddenly, transformatively. Dinosaurs dominated Earth in 20 million years – sapient humans in just 50,000. Kitty Hawk to the Moon in 7 decades; the Manhattan Project ignites the atomic age in three years. And now AI? Privately, Gary enjoys alpine skiing, hot yoga, and music composition. He and Anna celebrate 45 years of marriage, residing in Boulder County, Colorado.
